Description Departing South Africa and winding your way northwards, this safari will be one to remember. From the pristine beaches of Xai Xai, Inhambane and Vilancolus to the rugged inland of the Gorongoza National Park in Mozambique, your journey continues to take you north. Arriving in Malawi you will get to stay in three of Malawi’s game reserves where birdlife is abundant and game viewing is easy. A few days to relax at Monkey Bay, game viewing in Kasungu, and the highlands of Nyika. Your “African Safari” now starts in earnest – East Africa is renowned for its game viewing and birdlife. The vast open plains leading to the foot of the mountain ranges offer you ideal game viewing conditions and photographic opportunities from the massive predators to the antelope roaming the horizons and everything in between. 10 days of real safari - Ruaha and The Serengeti to Lake Victoria. Two World heritage sites and two biosphere reserves have been established in this 30 000km₂ reserve of Serengeti. Today, the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and the Masai Mara Game Reserve across the border in Kenya, protect the greatest and most varied collection of wildlife on earth, and one of the last great migratory systems still intact. From the Serengeti we move to the coast via Arusha and Mt. Kilimanjaro to end the safari with a relaxing stay at Tanga and then on to Dar-es-Salaam where the option for a short stay in Zanzibar is available. |
