Description Visiting Africa’s first formally declared Transfrontier National Park will provide you with endless red dunes, camel thorn trees and scrub which is home to black-maned lions, herds of gemsbok and vantage points to view many of the raptors. The dry riverbeds and sparse vegetation afford you many opportunities to see antelope and predators and for the birding enthusiast this is home to the Sociable Weaver and Pygmy Falcon. |

We then move northward towards Nossob Camp. The waterholes on route provide good photographic opportunities of not only the game and birds but also the stark landscapes and wiry flora. On arrival at nossob we replenish for the next 4 days as we will be at remote camp sites. The rugged road eastwards to Bitterpan and Mabuasehube is a test of the 4X4. Taking the remote roads, which are one vehicle wide, require the roads to be one way and are strictly 4X4 access only. Soft dunes and long grass are but just the start of the challenge, but the scenery and the remoteness of the areas make it worthwhile. |
