Description Botswana, the place of endless horizons, from the unforgettable wildlife, waterways and towns to the warmth and friendliness of the Batswana people, will make this tour one of your favourites.
Pick up in Johannesburg, we head towards the edge
of the Kalahari to camp at Martin's Drift. From here we head into
the deep Kalahari - red dunes, thorn trees and long straight roads.
Two days in this extremely remote area, a brief stop in Orapa for
essential supplies, and then continue to the Makgadigadi Pans. |

We camp out in the Mopane woodlands where lion, giraffe, kudu, jackal and foxes reside. An obligatory stop in Maun before flying into the Okavango Delta, where we uncover its unforgettable beauty; from the lush indigenous forests, delta and islands to the 400 bird species and abundant game. Moving northwards into the Moremi and Savuti regions we further explore the wildlife. It is in this region that we are most likely to see wild dog as they are regularly sighted. Botswana has hosted a wild dog project since 1989, and currently the Moremi area is home to 30% of all living wild dog. The Savuti is famous for its predators, particularly the resident lions and spotted hyenas. |

At Kasane we cross the Zambezi River to enter Zambia. Border formalities done, we head towards Livingstone - a small frontier town close to the Victoria Falls. No more camping now as we check in to the luxurious accommodation right at the falls. A variety of activities and attractions await you here - walks, helicopter flights, bungi-jumping, sunset cruises, white water rafting - this is certainly the adventure capital of the world. Two nights at the Victoria Falls end the tour. (This stay can be lengthened on request)
